Meat Imports
Travellers returning to Kas from Meis in the last week or so have been asked by Customs if they're carrying any meat products.
Has anyone been asked this at Marmaris, Dalaman, Bodrum etc recently?

Re: Meat Imports
Be careful then - you will have to leave your meat and two veg at home in future.

Re: Meat Imports
A friend of mine was stopped in Kas recently and was told that a new law had just come in banning the pork products fro Turkey! Apparently tehir is a new customs official who had been exerting his authority. Our friends was let off with a warning and allowed to bring his pork chops in.
We have recently returned from a trip to Rhodes and had no problems. However. they do have a camera and if they notice anyone with a particularly heavy bag whilst they are waiting n the visa queue - they do question them. As we had stayed over for 2 nights our luggage was acceptable, even though it was double the weight from when we left Fethiye
