Ikamet
Hi everyone.
How did you get Resident permit/Ikamet the first time?
I have an apartment in Altinkum, so I guess I would have to go to Aydin to sort it out?
What did you have to bring the first time?
Photographs? Passport? Tapu?
Do you have to show them a bank transcript? And does it have to be in a Turkish bank?
And finally the last question, is it possible to apply for a Resident permit from a Tourist Visa?
I`m a Norwegian citizen, so I only have a 1 month visa.

Re: Ikamet
Hi Mariaca. Yes you will need to have an address in Turkey. Either a Tapu or a Rental Contract. If you use the search button at the top of the page you should find all you need to know.

Re: Ikamet
You will need a Turkish bank account that shows sufficient funds to support you living in Turkey; some areas seem to interpret this rule differently and want to see significant funds, others do not.
There are different rules depening on nationality so some of the things that are you find on this forum may not apply to Norwegian nationals - you will have to check on that rather than assuming it is a blanket rule.

Re: Ikamet
Thank you very much both of you.
I`ll contact the Turkish Embassy here, and ask if I can apply for the Resident Permit when I only have a tourist visa.
I have heard different stories about the economic part. Some has to show that they have a Turkish bank account while some doesn`t. Sometimes it`s supposed to be ok with just a creditcard or a transcript from Norway or England forexample.
