Is there a limit to the number of 3 month visas you can get? We have recently purchased property in Turkey and hope to make two or three trips out a year to visit. What is the best way of obtaining visas for these visits? Are there annual visitor visas and if so how much are they and how do you go about acquiring one?

From what I understand you can buy your three month visa and then renew it by purchasing another three month visa without leaving the country. You then have to leave the country but can return right away to start the process all over again. So basically for your situation there should be no problems.

I'm sre you need to leave the country and then come back in again to get a second 3 month visa.

There's no limit to the number of visas you can buy in any one year. If you want to buy, they'll happily take your money from you.

You HAVE to leave the country to renew your visa. Albeit only for a matter of an hour or so

Those of us in the South Aegean and Med areas generally go either to Meis or Rhodes and those further up the coast tend to use Rhodes or Kos.

Just a word of warning,for UK citizens, Visas are for 90 days NOT 3 months. If you exceed the 90 days you are liable to be fined when trying to exit the country and you can be banned from re-entering for a further 90 days.

A 1 year vısa costs approx 200pounds sterlıng whereas a vısıtors 90day vısa costs 10pounds. The only thıng wıth the 90day optıon ıs a KKOB states you have to leave the country so by the tıme you have paıd for your trıp to Kos or wherever ıt works out more expensıve.
If you are poppıng back and forth contınuously throughout the year the cheaper optıon ıs defınately to pay the 10pounds entry fee

You mean a Residence Permit not a Tourist Visa? This is where a few people get confused.

You don't have to leave the country to renew your first visa, I have done it several times. After your second visa you have to leave the country but can return again right away, you just need the stamp on your passport you were in a different country. Then you buy a visa for 3 months which you can then again renew it for 3 months simply by going to the foreign police. As noted above it's actually 90 day visa's.
