Resident Visas

I,ve got a basic understanding of how to apply for this Visa, but on the Consulate web site it states that the form must be type set, not hand written[?][?] who would you see/go to, to get this done[?] also apart from a bank statement showing you have enough money to live in Turkey, what other Papers are required[?] if any.

Blossom,

Are you talking about the form that you apply from in the UK?

If so, forget all that and read this.

This is for the Aydin area but the principle is the same all over Turkey.

Blossom,

I followed the instructions on the above topic and was very impressed with how simple it was. A couple of minor differences though. My local Muhtar said I didn't need anything from him for my permit. I was a bit concerned, but wasn't asked for anything extra at the Emniyet. I went to the Maliye office, but was sent back to the Emniyet to get a bill from the Police first. So if you go to the Emniyet first for your bill, then on to the Maliye to pay your bill, then back to the Emniyet to complete the application. It cost me 850ytl for the application and 66ytl for the Police. I collected my residence permit 3 days later. I went fully prepared with all the paperwork as listed in the topic and was very impressed with how smoothly it went.
Good luck with your application

You could start a new topic along the lines of Mad Turkish Cow's Tales. I'm sure we'd all be interested to hear
