Res Permıt money ın bank

Hi
I have just been to Bodrum to start our RP off,and ıt now appears (accordıng to customs ın Bodrum) that you need to have 1000USD (1770 TL) per person per month ın a Turkısh bank,to get your RP.

this varies from area to area --here in kusadasi ive never been asked to provide this info

That's interesting. I wonder if the figure has been changed to mirror the amount that the Turkish Government 'assume' we have as income when charging us the fee for SGK payment if we join. At the moment they are 'assuming' we have 1772TL per month which is twice the amount of the Turkish minimum wage.

List of documents required to apply for the permits;

Documents required for long-term residency permits

1. 2 x Residency Statement Form (available at Foreigners Division)
2. 4 x passport sized photographs. (Bodrum 6 Photos)
3. Original passport.
4. Photocopy of the passport (photo page, page showing the last entry to Turkey, page showing passport validity period).
5. Bank statement or foreign currency exchange certificate showing an amount to the value of 500 USD per month of required permit length.
6. If it is available, a title deed which was obtained before (the original and its photocopy)

Documents required for residency permits for touristic purposes.

1. 2 x Colour Residential Statement Forms (available at Foreigners Division)
2. 4 x passport sized photographs.
3. Original passport and photocopy of the following pages: photo page, page showing the last entry to Turkey, page showing passport validity period.
4. Bank statement or foreign currency exchange certificate showing an amount to the value of 500 USD per month of required permit length.

Proof of residential address (if residing together with a Turkish citizen, the original and photocopy of this Turkish citizen’s identification document and a petition shows undertaking - also if the Turkish citizen giving the undertaking is married, then both spouses must give the undertaking, - or if renting, a copy of the rental contract, etc.).
6. Applications of foreigners whose visa has expired are not accepted.
7. Only one residency permit for touristic purposes is issued during any one calendar year.
8. Foreigners must apply in person for residency procedures.
