Re: renewing tourist visa from istanbul???
Ipsala is the southern Greek border crossing. You should be able to get a bus there but it would be easier going to the emniyet muduru in Aksaray and get a residence permit. Yo can get one in 3 to 4 working days and aslong as you apply before your expiration date.
You can get a permit from 1 month upto 5 yrs despite what other people might say.

Re: renewing tourist visa from istanbul???
No its not true but aslong as you apply before your visa has expired. It would be a residence permit you would get and although technically you would be still classed as a tourist because your not working it is not an extension of your tourist visa. You can get residence for as little as 15 days which I have done before for a client last year.
You dont need a tapu, be married to a Turk or be working here to get one, and yes you can get one for 2 months.
Email me and I can send you the application forms and dilekci that you will need for when you apply.
