Residence Permit - What Difference It Makes?
Hi there!
Does the residence permit allow one to have expanded rights in Turkey? What actually does it give?
- can you vote?
- work without additional work permit?
- enter without paying for visa?
- start business?
- buy car with local number plates?
- get free education and insurance???
Any idea?

As far as I am aware it only allows you to enter without paying visa fees no to the rest

You need a residence permit to buy a car and get a home phone.

Freinds had a phone connected this week.
They didn't have to pay anything but Turk Telecom wanted a copy of their passport and residence permit.
