Re: Going over my turkish residency

It is unusual to be banned for weeks,it's usually months & you are vague in not stating how many months you overstayed, if you don't give exact details, folks can't give you exact answers.
You had 30 days to renew your R.P.,15 days before expiry to 15 days after.I suggest that when you get your next one put a note on the calendar of your mobile phone to remind you a week or two before it's due to expire.
If you had overstayed by 2 months,i would have thought even 4 months was a 'light sentence'.
Check now if you have to apply via the Turkish Embassy in London for your visa so you can return, that is the norm after a ban. If not then you will definately have to buy a passport 90/180 visa stamp at Istanbul.

Re: Going over my turkish residency

i went over by 2 months and im married to a turkish man. the airport police and staff says im onl banned for 1 month (4 weeks) but it looks like a number 2 on the paper the give me but 3 diffrent people told me its only 4 weeks. and apparently i only have to get a normal passport sticker visa but in turkey people all say diffrent things and nothing is done easily
