This thread should be merged with

Turkish citizens will be able to enter Europe without a visa in three years' time.

But, it's a good news!

I have been trying to get the answer to this for a week and no one seems to know for sure. Some say all EU countries others say no only schengen zone countries. Does anyone know for sure??

The Schengen Agreement is incorporated into the EU so it applies to all EU countries except where individual countries have by agreement opted out of certain sections . The UK has for border control so presumably the UK would have to positively agree to apply whatever is eventually agreed as it varies what is currently in place.

Re: A Visa agreement for schlengen countries...

The UK won't open the door...they are charged with refusing all Turks entry into Britian....they are fighting to stop the new influx of migrants from eastern EU countries......every time my own wife applies for a holiday visa for coming to The UK with me she gets refused initially...their job is to carry out the UK Governments wishes and stop all Turks....it is amazing that the Turks are so happy to let us stay!!!---5 fici beers worth there!!

Re: A Visa agreement for schlengen countries...

It's very confusing, the agreement has been signed today. Even more strange when the UK want Turkey in the UK, it's the Germans and French that don't. Even though this agreement has been signed we still don't know if this means the UK or not.
