Overstaying Turkish Visa - Help!! (PART TWO)

Hello everybody!

I posted a thread about two years ago on here (tried to link it but not allowed) about me accidently overstaying my visa due to the fact I was given a “90 days within 180 days” visa and I actually I travelled to turkey assumed the 90 days I had was spread over a period of 180 days (now why on earth would I think that?). Anyway, as you all know those rules weren’t enforced at the time so I therefore only had a standard 90 day visa meaning I overstayed by 56 days and was fined

I paid my fine, was not told about any ban, and I went home. Few months later, I went to the embassy in London as I was advised after overstaying you can not get your visa at port of entry and must get one from the embassy. I travelled to London from Glasgow and was given a sheet advising you on what to do to get a ban lifted. I explained, if I was banned, it would be over by now and therefore I am not looking to lift any ban; I am just looking for a new visa. She told me that is the only way I could obtain a visa. I would feel pointless applying for a ban to be lifted that I did not have, and therefore gave up on trying to go back to Turkey.

Now, two years later, I have booked to travel to Turkey and need advice from anyone who has been in this situation to advise me on what they did.

I am simply going to apply for the visa the way she told me to, I just want to travel back to the holiday resort of my childhood.
I need some advice on the application as the embassy respond to emails by saying “all queries answered by appointment at the embassy”. Cheers.

Here is what I apparently need to provide
1.Requirements for application
2. Visa application form
3. A copy of original passport
3. A passport size photo attached to the visa application form
4.Latest bank statement (original to be returned) and a photocopy. Bank statement must show the applicant's current financial standing
5.Reference letter from your employer or school / if you are retired, your pension documents.
Okay, this part I am confused by. I go to university, what sort of reference do they want? Simply to say I am student there? Will a signed letter of Martiriculation do? Is it say I am a suitable candidiate for a visa?
6.A letter specifying the reasons for the applicant's overstay and reasons for revisiting Turkey.
7. Details of pensions or assets from which the applicant receive a regular income and a photocopy.
Huh?
8.Particulars of any assets in Turkey (if any), and a photocopy.
9.Any other evidence supporting your application.

So anybody who has been through this procedure give me any light on number 6 and 7? Has anyone been in my situation and did not have to do this?

Hopefully if this gets sorted I can post the results here so other people in this situation can be helped. Thanks!

No 7 is asking for some sort of proof of income, wage slip, pension statement, study grant, income from savings etc. They want to see that you aren't destitute and have funding for a visit.

Thanks Kalkan and Susan for your replies!

Apparently overstaying your visa means your next visa must be personally issued from the embassy. I e-mailed both e-visa and the consulate last night and some Chirstmas miracle means they've replied. E-visa are telling me the just to go to Turkey with an e-Visa... the consulate are telling me not to try entering with he e-visa and go to the consulate. Never heard anything lile
