Overlapping Tourist Visa

My better half's tourist visa runs out on 23rd June.

She travels to Turkey on 19th June until 6th July.

Should her new visa start on 19th or 24th June? Can she leave on one visa and come back on another?

Any suggestions?

24th June. She would also need to leave Turkey before the old visa runs out, maybe go to Greece, and come back on the 24th on the new one.

Re: Overlapping Tourist Visa

Have the Evisa start on the day you arrive in Turkey and use that one at Passport control.

Had the same issue at the start of April

Thanks. That is what I have done.

I can't believe that they would make you leave and re-enter.

A minimum of a 24 hour interval/break between visa's is the turkish ruling, don't forget when you calculate your new visa don't forget to also use the 'count back' rule, which basically is 90 days 'within any 180 day period'

There are a couple of threads currently running on the subject so probably best if you run the search to get the latest information.

Yes it's still getting people confused................ good luck.

My answer was based on your first post as I didn't know you had brought another visa for the 19th until you posted later with information.

I didn't think it was possible on the new system to over lap visas but as T3Man said he did what you are going to do and it worked for him, maybe there is a loophole in the system that does allow overlapping visas?

Hope it works out and you give us an update when you get home.
