Turkish Visa expired

Hi, I have a question! let see if someone can help me! My Turkish visa will finish the 30 of this month (JUN), and maybe i will go out of the country the day 3 of July. Somewhere I read u can leave the country within the next 15 days after your residence visa expires without having to pay any fee. Is that true?
Also, Is possible to leave the country with your residence visa expired + the appointment paper for renew your visa? thanks

Re: Visa expired

I was travelling with family 2 years ago,.partner and her two kids visa were 17 hrs past
Visa end time .

We were pulled to one side .
Fined 350 pounds in total .lectured about observing the rules .
Placed at the front of the airline que and told never to do it again .

Why would you risk it ?

Hope all goes well for you but that was my experience .

Sorry I,just read your post again .maybe it's differnt with a RP our visas were tourist ones .

Good luck
Alan

Re: Visa expired

İt varies from area to area but İ would not take the risk as you may be detained and miss your flight and İ know of several people who have been fined. Jackfatih also stated that the 15 days grace is now at an end and İ asked yesterday at Alanya police and was told that is correct. You can apply 60 days before your renewal date but will be fined if after.

Yes thats in the rules, and somewhere else I have identified exactly where, but some areas have been allowing a leaway but would not chance it

Also need to be careful about leaving as ours came back within 2 weeks and if we had not been there we would have had to chase back through the system.

Although the old 15 days allowance has been rescinded, it never allowed you to leave the country,it was only to renew your RP.You cannot leave on an expired RP/evisa, this is very much frowned upon & at the very least will incur a fine,& if over 15 days possibly a ban at immigration.
The only way you can leave Turkey while your application is being processed is to get a letter from the issuing Polis.

Redders. Does that not only give you up to 15 days outside the country?

Re: Turkish Visa expired

If you get the letter from your local Polis foreigners office it officially allows you 15 days out of the country. Ironically the rules state you can purchase an evisa to return on if you wish to stay out longer, but what you cannot do is use a new evisa to leave on.It is to be used as an entry visa.
