dual passport entry

Good day everyone,

Just wondering if any member who holds a dual passport has, since the introduction of the new electronic visa system, entered Turkey, at different times, using both passports. I know it is possible and acceptable in some other countries to benefit from using two passports thereby permitting double the permissible stay periods.

I am aware that this was done frequently on the old stamped visa system, presumably with the consent of the authorities but just wondering if the new electronic system flags up and concerns.

Thanks for any replies. Edward

Re: dual passport entry

Last year a friend entered Turkey on her New Zealand passport (no visa needed) and left on day 89 - the 90/180 rule applies. She went to the UK for a couple of weeks, then re-entered with an evisa using her UK passport, again leaving on day 89. No problems whatsoever, and she intends to repeat the process this summer.

Re: dual passport entry

Other people have also stated that they have also entered at different times on their different passports without any problems.

Maybe it could be a issue if the authorities know a person is a dual passport holder, but surely that would only be if you told them.

Re: dual passport entry

A friend has done this on his Irish and British passports.
No problem at all.
