Aren't Evisa's great!

I can't be the only one who thinks that evisa's are a great improvement on the old stamp.

I've just got my (and the long haired one's) evisa for our forthcoming trips.
2nd May we arrive, for a week, then June/July for 3 weeks and then August/September for 3 weeks.

The one evisa covers them all. No queue (or at least one less queue) on arrival, no hunting for 10 notes, and you can print a couple out in the event you lose one.

Now just sort the RP out and we've cracked it.

I agree it is a better system, although some have had problems paying for them and printing them out

Re: Aren't Evisa's great!

As I've said before, for most of us 'normal tourists' there's no problem.

The problem is with those tight fisted expats who don't want to shell out for a 6 month RP.

Re: Aren't Evisa's great!

Good idea except if your like me, I booked a flight to Turkey for beginning of September then booked one to depart manchester at start of March without even thinking to check visa availability.
Low and behold, even though I know the rules my visa ran out 2 days after I was due to fly to Turkey in September.
So my bargain flight has turned out 35 dearer due to me having to change a flight, I'm spending the 1st week of my holiday replacing a radiator and vanity unit, GOOD PLANNING I don't think so!

You didn't have to change your flight, just get a new evisa.

Hunt 23 is perfectly correct, the e-visa is simply a piece of paper which we need to have but with no actual validity, the only thing that really matters and counts is the maximum of 90 day in the last 180 day count back.

Re: Aren't Evisa's great!

Unfortunately although there are 19 pages that show with the word 'visa' in the thread title it's been a costly lesson of not reading at least a couple of the more recent threads.
