Has anyone here been refused entry on their Res. visa over the 120 day rule.

Re: Failed entry.
That's good,I was, with many others concerned as to gaining entry with Res visa but also concerned about leaving with the possibilty of pricey fines awaiting but as you have renewed yours, hopefully no problem.

Re: Failed entry.
I have been keeping my ear to the ground on this matter too and so far local people to me have had no problems with re-entry after exceeding the 120 days. Of course it could all change in a flash.

Re: Failed entry.
There seems to be no problem with reentry, but it's when you try to leave again is when you may have a problem....

Re: Failed entry.
That was my concern, but would they let you in,in the first instance with a cancelled visa?

Re: Failed entry.
Thats the point. The meeting between the DGMM and the British Consul a few weeks ago said there were still things to be ironed out but it was possible that even if you had exceeded 120 days out of Turkey and were subjected to a RP cancellation this would not necessarily be done at the port of entry and could happen at a later stage.
Peoples fears have been that they may not realise they are an illegal overstayer until they either try to leave the country or take advantage of their SGK which could also have been stopped (benefits as opposed to contributions) due to not having a valid RP.
The DGMM said they would be replying to those points in writing to the British Consul and until that happens the situation will not be totally clear - hence some growing fears on some parts, and complacency on others.

Re: Failed entry.
I had this a long time ago on a tourist visa . We came in no prob ,but ran out of Visa ( on a 2 week hol ) while we were there . Went over 3 days on exit and got fined. So moral is So long as visa is valid on entry ,they don't check or ask or tell you ,you will run out while you are there. Obviously its up to you to make sure the visa /RP is still valid when you leave .

Re: Failed entry.
When we leave in September, my wife's visa will be one day over the 90 day stay limit. Any idea on how much she will be fined. She's starting to panic over it. Thanks
