Resident Permit help?

Hi i know there are other threads on this topic but i am hoping someone can answer my particular issues.

What are the current lengths of RP available?

How much are they per couple?

How much is SKP per couple per year, not that i knoiw what SKP is ?

How much roughly is annual health insurance for a couple say 55 years old.

If you take less than a year then i assume you can take out full holiday insurance to cover you?

What are the advantages of having longer term RP and i assume private insurance than keeping renewing for a year with annual hoilday insurance ?

It is correct you cannot take out longer period RP unless you have had a one year first ?

Re: Resident Permit help?

The only benefit of having a Residency Permit is that you can come and go from Turkey for a whole year - - up to 120 days out of Turkey only. They are currently issuing RPs for 1 year only or 2 years if you are a married couple. If you have held an RP for 8 years or more you can get an indefinite RP but you cannot have been out of Turkey for more than 365 days in the last 5 years.

My Health Insurance was from Ankara Sigorta - - head office on phone number 0212-306-0045 or Antalya office on 0242-227-3310 at 1850 tl for a year at age 64.

Are you sure they are issuing two year resident visas for married couples? The reason I ask is that I thought two year visas were considered family visa's for people married to Turks (or children of Turks who don't have citizenship).

That is the correct rule.
2 year RP's are not available to foreign married couples although a few of them were issued in error when the new system started to be administered.
