Re: visa stamp

Don't forget it only takes about 10 minutes to get one on-line and probably much quicker than having to get one at the airport visa booth.

Don't forget only to use the official https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ site.

Re: visa stamp

Did you take a look at the FAQs on the link above?

Q. How long before my travel date should I apply for e-Visa? go.
A. You can apply for your e-Visa any time before your travel. However, you are advised to create an e-Visa application at least 48 hours before your departure.

Providing you have the paper print-out it will not matter, and take note, the above states 'you are advised' it does not say you can't apply etc etc.

Re: Turkish visa stamp on arrival?

I certainly would not advise anyone to attempt to get a visa on arrival as it has been stopped in some places and may stop altogether without notice at other places.

That's sage advice, I believe what has happened in some instances is people without visas have been directed to a kiosk or internet terminal to buy their visa. There is no requirement for the border ports to provide such facilities and I don't believe they all have the old style stamps available and if there is no available connection to get online or the system is down, the border guard cannot let you in.
