Renew the Residence Permit

Dear All,
Just an inquire regarding the permit of stay procedures if any one might know...

My tourist residence permit will expire on the 1st of October, and I have to fly to Congo on the 2nd of September and stay there till the 5th of October...

When I am coming back my permit would be already expired, so

1- Will they let me enter?
2- What should I do?

Many thanks indeed in advance!!!

Re: Renew the Residence Permit

Simple answer- buy an E-Visa before coming back to Turkey - only about 13 and can be done on line in minutes - valid for up to 90 days.... then within that 90 days apply for a full yearly Residency Permit -

Just to be clear, are you talking about a "tourism" residence permit or a tourist visa?

If a "tourism" RP, and you plan to reapply, why can't you make an online application for a renewal within 30 days of your current RP expiration date? That way there will be no lapse in the RP.

If you are on a tourist visa, you can only stay in Turkey a maximum of 90 days out of 180 days.

Re: Renew the Residence Permit

Went today to Alanya's Halk Bank and Vergi Dairesi to pay the yearly RP renewal fees but for some reason both places had no clue as to what I was talking about. I kept saying to them that I have applied on line and that I needed to pay $80 for the visa and 55 TL for the book. Their response was, sorry we can't help unless you have some sort of document from the emniyet. I'm totally confused. You can apply on line but then somehow you gotta get some sort of papers from the police department to take to VDairesi??!!! Been here for over four years now and never had any problems. It should be noted though the online thing has only recently been implemented. Being a new thing and all....in any event, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Renew the Residence Permit

Do exactly as Angelaturkey says. If you apply for renewal now you are not allowed to leave the country until you receive your new RP except with special permission and then only for a maximum of 15 days.

Edy you do not need to go to the polis station they are nothing to do with it now.You need to quote a reference number so they know where to send it. Go on Doc Martins facebook page and read the file notes and you will find your answer
