New Passport

I have recently renewed my passport and I am soon to return to the UK for a couple of weeks. My question is, as I also have the residency blue book, could there potentially be a problem when I present my new passport at the airport customs. Should I inform some office (prior to leaving) that I now have a new passport so that the relevant information is updated on their system, or is it sufficient to just make sure I have the old passport with me when I travel?

Re: New Passport

I understand that the news rules say you have to inform the authorities when you get a new passport. I would also carry my old one just to be on the safe side.
