Holiday visa

Hi, can anyone tell me if you have to be out of Turkey by the time your visa expires. For example, visa expires on the 10th April, and the holiday runs to the 11th April, though there is no issue regarding overstaying the maximum time allowed as it has only been used for a week's stay. Thanks alot. Sue xx

Re: Holiday visa

You may be lucky, I think I read somewhere that the day of travel is not counted.

Re: Holiday visa

You must leave on the 10th, depending on the time you depart you could chance it by going through where they check the visa on the 10th and sit airside until the 11th, if it is not too long a wait. :-)

If you are currently in uk then you could get a new visa before going out.....you MUST enter on the same visa as you exit.

Re: Holiday visa

Thanks for the replies. The query is on behalf of a friend of mine, she lives here in North Cyprus, and although she hasn't booked flights, she asked me about this, but I wasn't sure of the answer, I guess the best thing for her to do is make sure she leaves before it expires. Thanks again, useful info for future reference. Sue xx

Re: Holiday visa

I presume we are talking E visas and not RPs . If so you can get overlapping E visas so get a new one to start before the holiday and present that on entry. E visas after all are only permissions to enter and exit between the stated times and carry no right in themselves to stay in Turkey
