Do you know ted j if you go home ,and you are over 65 they have to treat you.all you do they say is sign a paper saying you are home to stop. I have just looked on the DWP ,and the way i read it is if you relocate to the uk it gives you all the benefits you could get .

In Aydin/Didim the first application can only be for ONE year followed by a 2 year application the following year and the only difference is that for 2 years it is double the fee as for a one year application, so not losing out but more of a inconvenience than anything. And if using the likes of Sami Isik then it's the same fee regardless of a 1 or 2 year application.

Re: Residency Permit

From the threads information,

Am I correct to understand that the following itinerary would be allowed under Turkish regulations.

Enter Turkey 1st October on 90 day visa,

Apply for 1 year residency before end of December.

Leave Turkey 1st April.

Six months UK.

Enter Turkey on existing residency 1st October (2nd year)

Apply for another years residency before end of December.

Can this be continued indefinitely over many years?

The only problem you could have with this is,there is no guarantee you will be there to pick your visa up .I applied in Aug got the visa in March. The Wife in November visa came in April. Not a problem for us we live here . But having said that all areas are different.

Re: Residency Permit

Great,
I was unaware, that we could do about half the year in Turkey for a number of consecutive years.
My next thought, can we bring a vehicle in each time for the duration of our stay.
Thanks J

Re: Residency Permit

We had ours delivered last year , but this year we had to go to the PTT
We were directed through the lift up flap in the counter to a corridor. At the bottom was an open door with a guy at our texts and brought in a huge pile of envelopes , ours was in there

Same here, but mine had also been held for over 6 weeks, and not just the time that people say it is held for before being sent back.
