Residency Permit

Hi quick question.
We plan to sort out Residency in April and move across to Turley in October to live.
We plan to return home next Xmas then spend a couple of months in The Canary Islands.
Is there a maximum time you can be out of Turkey when you have residency.?

Re: Residency Permit

You can spend as much time as you want out of Turkey, but you will have a problem EXTENDING your permit if your spend more than 6 months away.

Re: Residency Permit

For short term residence permits the 120 day rule was abolished in 2016 so you can now come and go as you please

Re: Residency Permit

Yes.a few here who don't know the laws.back in August 13th 2016 all restrictions were lifted for those holding a STRP.
Family RP holders are restricted to 180 days within the duration of their 3 year validity.Any more than 180 days and the FRP will be cancelled and there may be a problem with renewing, but NO such problem for STRP holders.
The only problems that could happen in the future is if applying for a Long Term RP. Again you're restricted to how long you can be out on the previous STRP or Family RP's.

Re: Residency Permit

We didn't need any supporting evidence of our parents name when applying for our residency permit last month. Hope this helps. xx

Re: Residency Permit

I was never asked for evidence either
The one thing Turkish authorities seem to have trouble with is having the same name as your father as I do

A few years ago, we had 2 police officers visit us to check application details , they were really polite and when I explained that some people in the UK named their children after themselves had a light bulb moment
