Re: Recent RP changes?

UPDATE: ola folks! So, I finally heard back from the RP agency & I thought I post the info. here for everyone's benefit.

There have been NO changes to the RP process yet. Yes, there was talk of the property based requirement for the RP renewal, however, that has not been either applied yet, or could just be "talk".

In other words, as of now, it is status-quo. If I hear differently, I will update here. Likewise, I request folks who end-up renewing their RP's in the coming months to please share their experiences.

Thank you! (now back to my bubble bath )

So an RP agency, among other legal matters, will apply for a resident permit for you. It is absolutely not a necessity to retain their services & I know most folks here in-fact apply for their own RP's.

However, if you are in a time crunch, or unfamiliar with the process, an RP agency's services are available.

The agency I contacted charges around TL650 for adults.

I hope that answers your question.

I may have mixed up the government fees for 1 year RP w/insurance the agency quoted me with the agency's fees.

Appreciate the verification, enoch.

Re: Recent RP changes?

Just seen this today on the book that comes with your RP .Maybe it's always been there i have never looked before . It says if you would like to stay longer than 90 days make an application for a one year max short term residence permit for touristic purposes . But if you let it run out then renew ,you have to give a good reason why other than tourism otherwise it can be disapproved.01/01/2020. Some one will come back and say if it's always been there.
