Restaurants/cafes/locantas/teahouses in Tuzla Area

Anyone like to share their list of restaurants, cafes etc

Where would you recommend and why?

Where would you avoid and why?

Just two: Sunset Cafe (Sunset Cafe, if I am not mistaken) and Agora.
Sunset Cafe is the closest one and practically inevitable (free WiFi Internet, a shop where you can buy cell phone kontors, 20 liter water bottles, gas bottles, fruit, vegetables, etc.) A fabulous view, very friendly personnel, prices doubled in a couple of years (but still accessible), medium-to-low quality menu. Many fans among expats.
Agora (on the main road, opposite to Artev turn) is a level higher, has a mini-zoo (a couple of rabbits and a dozen of hens), owned by a fantastically friendly family. Never dined there unfortunately, but their breakfasts (kahvalti) are extraordinary (YTL 9 for a breakfast enough for two).
The others to mention are Yeni Albatros in Bogazici (a fish-&-meat restaurant) where you can see the Moon rising and, maybe, other Bogazici eateries that are open in winter also.

Hi Alexander - agree with you re the Sunset. Prices have increased a fair bit over the last couple of years but the welcome is great from all of the guys there.

Have had a couple of meals at the Agora, while the food has been fine, the experience left me with a bad taste. The first incident we put down to us not being able to say no and ending up being oversold food. However, two Sundays back we ate there, very simple meal, nothing fancy, but that's what we wanted. While the food was OK, although my wife didn't get what she ordered, she was happy with what was set before her.

The bill though had 3 mistakes on it, all in their favor.
Was this all a mistake - I don't think so - we were the only 2 in the restaurant at the time. The only 2 meals that were prepared in the 45 minutes or so that we were there.

I'll not darken the doors of the Agora again. (I feel bad about writing this as it's a family run business)
