General Questions
I am totally new to this so excuse any errors I make. I will be visiting the site in a couple of weeks time our first visit since purchase all those years ago. Can anyone advise if they have been using a company called VCY Turkey and a man called Emrah. I have been reading the posts and notice that a lot of you has been in contact with the builder direct. Have I wasted my money, should someone from the company be collecting us and taking us round the site? I feel very stupid at the minute.

Re: General Questions
Hi Monkey and a warm welcome to the forum. I am not in your area so therefore my knowledge is scant. I am unsure what you mean to be honest, I wonder if you were more specific (which site etc) it may help with replies.
Are you saying you bought several years ago, have never been to the place where you have purchased and you have had little contact.
If so I think you really need to attract interest and find a way forward.
I wish you luck and hope all will be well.

Re: General Questions
Hi - welcome to the forum and a warm welcome to Tuzla. As Tess suggests you'll have to provide a bit more info before anyone can help.
Which site have you bought on?

Re: General Questions
I purchased on the complex Tuzla Park (Tulipa) in Dec 07 I think and visited the site August 08. At that time the contracts had been put on hold because of planning permission and then were re-issued with a couple of changes to the original site plans. We purchased through a local estate agent here at home and were told quite some time ago now that the company "Headlands" were pulling back there operations in that area and recommended I sign up to a company called VCY Turkey who have been sending me frequent updates on the site.
I paid the balance in March and was told by the lawyer that she would hold £4k back until we would sign off the place no earlier than 31st May. The contract appears to say that the whole site should be completed by this time or we would be paid a penatly by the builder.
I have noticed from reading the posts that no one refers to this company VCY Turkey and are dealing directly with the builders.
When we go out in 2 weeks time it will only to be to report back to the lawyer on the status of the complex. Unfortunately even if 100% finished we cannot furnish this year.
I really would appreciate if someone could assist me, I honestly feel so stupid at the minute. I had no reason to believe every owner wasnt signed up to Emrah and his company who in fairness has sent regular pics. But I am paying for a service when I didnt need to?

Re: General Questions
Hi there wlecome to the forum, I have information on Tuzla Park for you.
Please go to the Tuzla sub forum under the Bodrum forum and read the Tuzla Park threads and posts. You are correct in that this site has gone through major problems however I do not know the company VCY but the builders are Emrag construction. This site is still not finished but I would suggest that you PM some of the members under this sub forum for the latest updates and information.
Also you must ask your Lawyers what they have been doing for the last couple of years, ie. Tapu and which property is yours and why is the development not finished etc etc.
Please seek help asap you need answers now.
I have nothing to do with this project but have a villa in Tuzla and know some of the purchasers, I might add that they are not listening to the warning signs of this development and appear to be burying there heads in the sand. I wish you well and hope that you can find the anwers you are looking for.

Re: General Questions
Monkey, sound advice from Mary, please do as she suggests and make contact with others in the same complex and find some more up to date answers.
Your solicitor should be able to give you some support and be able to do something for you I am sure you have paid them handsomely.
I am completely at a loss how to help in any way as I am totally unfamiliar with your area, however if you need support in any way (mentally) do feel free to contact me.
Do not feel stupid Monkey hindsight is a wonderful thing and yes if many of us were given the opportunity to do things differently of course we would.
Turning back the clock for me would be a wonderful thing, but not to be, so therefore you must meet this head on.
What I would say is now you are aware of problems do not give up on the momentum and keep plodding away to have this situation resolved.
Good luck and best wishes and hopefully soon someone from your complex will be along soon to help you with the answers you so desperately need.

Re: General Questions
hi there.i know pmax has had dealings with a guy called emrah who he paid some money to and received some regular pics. paul bought from headlands too.so it might be worth contacting him by pm.
we have been promised by the builders that our apartment will be finished at the end of the month......i think there will still be work to be done on site but its coming on.
dont take too much notice of people who put negative posts...some people have had bad experiences , but that doesnt mean that we all will.....its stressful enough without a load of unfounded speculation .
see you on site with a smile and an efes...chris.

Re: General Questions
Pmax emailed me privately and confirmed he had used Emrah but didnt renew. Ah well no point on dwelling on it now, if I get a couple of days chauffer driven out of it i will make use of it as I think I'd be nervous driving when I dont know the area. I am really excited about the place and cant wait to get out. I have no doubt all will turn out OK and its great to be able to speak to people on the complex. I am dreaming about that effes already.
Cheers again
