Water Meter

Hi, I have been advised by another apartment owner that he had to pay rubbish tax + the council tax) because he (And the rest of the owners) do not have a water meter. At present we all are having to pay the the water bill charge direct to the person who built the complex. The Council Tax people stated that untill we have a water meter register to us - this continue. Ive emailed the person who built the complex & states no relation to subscription to the council tax? any advice welcomed. thanks.

Re: Water Meter

Hi, As far as I am aware it does not matter if you have a water meter or not you still need to pay your "Council Tax" We pay our water and electricity to our site agent as they have not been transferred in to our individual names yet . This has been the case for 3 years now and we have paid our tax direct tyo the local council for these three years

Re: Water Meter

Hi Sasha, the problem started this year, when one of the owners tried to pay his council tax & the water meter was mentioned. They stated as they do not have a meter he had to payu an extra 100.00 lira ontop of his council tax. Hope I dont have this problem next year... thanks for your advice - best wishes.. bim

We have had an electric meter just fitted in our name so now we will pay for every electric bill that comes in, we are just waiting for the water meter to be fitted and then we will pay for every water bill that comes in.
The builder paid for all the electric at no cost to us and its the same with the water meter only when we have a water meter in our name then we will pay the water bill.

Briand.
