Right I'm confused...

Good Morning!

I'm coming across to the Lakeside Garden resort, in August, with my much better half.

Upon reading this forum and information regarding the resort we're staying at, it would appear that there are several resorts within close proximity. I've noticed that some posters are mentioning Royal Heights and Flamingo Country Club, are they in some way connected to Lakeside Garden, if so can you visit the other resorts even if your staying in another? How far are they away from each other? Questions questions...

First ever visit to Turkey, can't wait!

Re: Right I'm confused...

Lakeside Garden is not far and about 15min walk or a couple of minutes in the car from FCC, Royal Heights and Turquoise which are all in close proximity to each other. All four sites were built by Artev and you are welcome to visit each of the sites and use the facilities if you fancy a change of scene.
There are a few shops by Turquoise and also the new Migros supermarket opposite and Sunset cafe/bar is just a couple of minutes walk further down the road.

Turquoise is great if you have young kids and Royal Heights has a restaurant with spectacular views plus the beach club.

Hope that helps...have a great holiday!

Re: Right I'm confused...

There are also a couple of beach clubs nearby, Sunset and MyBeach. Mybeach is the more expensive with prices similar to the Gundogan/Turbuku beach club scene. Also boat trips from the village in Bogazici which can be booked from Ocean View Cafe which is opposite Flamingo. Ocean View has the cheapest beer and coffee in the area and free wireless.
Have a great time, it's a lovely area.

Re: Right I'm confused...

Actually on the site directly opposite the gates to Lakeside is a great Turkish restaurant, but a fair walk from the road. The site is Zergul Kent. If you can arrange a lift down to the restaurant then I'm sure you'll like it.

Also the Dolmus passes the gates to Lakeside once every hour, plus the free DIA bus to Bogazici. DIA is a small supermarket like a SPAR/MACE in the UK. The bus probably goes past Lakeside on the way to Bogazici at 10 past 9, 11, 1pm and 3pm.

Re: Right I'm confused...

To get to the restaurant at Zegul Kent that TJD mentions, just ask the securtiy guards at Lakeside Garden and they will arrange for the restaurant to pick you up and drop you off.
