Solicitors in turkey

If any of you have paid all your monies and have not received your tapu and you have been using a foreign national as your solicitor you have got promlems no foreign national can practise law in turkey they have no legal rights what so ever they have no rights of audience in any court in turkey go to how to practise law in turkey /the law society international division or i advise you to get in touch with your agent

Well thanks for the info, but I think you will find that most of us 'old-timers' here have sort of got the gist of the 'legal' system (or lack of it) in Turkey and many other countries. There are probably hundreds, if not thousands of threads complaining of the lack of on this forum alone.
Thanks for the advice though, always good to be reminded.

So was that a revelation to you when you found out that countries don't recognise solicitors that qualified in other countries? I gather the UK (and USA and EU etc) would create a fuss if a Turkish qualified solicitor opened up in UK practising and advising on UK law.

Seems common sense to me.

I think a Solicitor in the UK would use a Solicitor in Turkey to do the legal work on their behalf.

Can you recommend a good, honest, reliable english-speaking Turkish solicitor well-versed in property law who will deliver what he promises at a pre-agreed fee and who also declares no conflict-of-interest with the vendor?
