Council tax in Bogazici/Tuzla area.

Anyone heard that the developments Bogacizi area has been down graded by Milas Council and as a result there will be no Council Tax to pay for the next few(5) years.

I have no other details except the statement above I received from an owner on an adjoining site in the area.

Thanks!

Re: Council tax in Bogazici/Tuzla area.

We have never paid council tax on our house in a village, but expected to when we were incorporated into the New Greater Bodrum Belediye. BUT we have been told that we won't have to pay for 5 years as there is a grace period "for us to get used" being in a municipality. We are however having our rubbish collected which is great after 22 years of driving our bin bags to the tip. Maybe Tuzla is the same. Our water rates have also gone down .

Sadly the main road link from Guvercinlik looks like a rubbish tip...so sad.

Terry, my Turkish neighbours circulate a set of papers for Milas Belediye Tax refund. I have got three pages in Turkish, which I still do not know where to file.
If you ever come around my place (you know where I live, don't you?) I can give you a copy.

Thansk Alex, I'll be over in 2 weeks time, wondering if I sent you my e-mail address could you send me a copy that way and I can then print and hopefully get someone to translate for me.

I agree Steve.....the hillsides are riddled with building rubble and household waste/cardboard etc.....you don't notice it so much when driving.....the undergrowth conceals a lot....I wish they would take action against the perpetrators.

Exactly you guys, worries me when they mention downgrading, and I think of the mess and the rubbish just blowing in the wind. One of the things I like is the collection of rubbish every 2 days, but the overfilled bins is a big problem which might just get worse.
