Sunset Bar and Cafe in Tuzla

Anyone out in Tuzla this week? Is ithe Sunset still open?

I see Sunset 2 has opened with what looks like the table and chairs from the original.

Just curious about the original site and what is going on there. The new one is closer for me, not sure if that's good or bad.

Re: Sunset Bar and Cafe in Tuzla

It's on Basko Sitesi which is a Turkish Site, they did a lot of work this year on the site where the Sunset 2 is. It's down the road beside the Migros at the roundabout. I didn't know until yesterday it was opening today, Tuesday.
I'd imagine he'll put the Sunset Beach mini bus to good use bringing people down the hill to Basko, but that's only my guesswork.

I'm still curious what has happened to the original and what the plans are for it.

Re: Sunset Bar and Cafe in Tuzla

Sunset has been closed because of licence problems (apparently)

The outside bar has been completely knocked down and are now only selling snacks and šay.

Apparently "My Beach" closed for the same reason & rumor has it that "Ocean View" will go the same way.

Looks to me that that the only places with no problems are those located on a Sitesi.....

Some interesting changes are on the agenda for 2015!

Hasan's place was closed either, so it's not an 'on-site - off-site' problem. It seems to be a licensing problem (they had all been licensed as "cai bahcesi"). However rumors go that Hasan should re-open in a month or so.

Re: Sunset Bar and Cafe in Tuzla

A little update from Tuzla.

We've been in the new Sunset a few times now and it's a much better set up than the old place. Gul has the old original site open as a Cay Bahcesi but it was very quiet yesterday when I called in.
My Beach is being prepared for opening, there were a squad of workers there cutting grass etc.
Hassans place is closed, I spoke to him on messenger a couple of days ago, says he'll open again in a months time.
Artev still have all those signs up about their facilities being only for people who've bought thru Artev. Can't help wondering a what it really means.

Our own site have said that they will be keeping it private this year, no strangers using the beach area or swimming pool, which is a bit restrictive if we want to have friends from other sites over.

Hi TJD

Thanks for the update.....re the signs....Artev have taken issue with Local Entrepreneurs buying and selling properties on Artev sites.....basically an owner was desperate to sell and took a low offer......the new owner then managed to flip the property thus making a very healthy profit.

Artev have a resale program, they feel that owners are devaluing the market by taking extremely low offers and affecting their opportunity to sell at the market value they set.

This is their form of punishment to anyone buying through third parties.....you cannot use our facilities (Artev facilities) unless you buy through them.
