Residency question please

Morning all

Could anyone please tell how many of you have had to get your UK pension letter apostilized (no such word i'm sure) in the UK, then notarized and translated in Turkey. Our friends didn't even have to show their's, but there are so many conflicting stories. We are in the Bodrum area. Any advise much appreciated

Many thanks

Tracy

Re: Residency question please

For my last 2 STRPs I had to get my state pension letter translated and motorised; as I understand it you only need it apostilled if you're applying for LTRPs. Also, it seems that if you're retired funds do not have to be shown any more - although, as always, this will depend on the individual officer/GOC office.

Re: Residency question please

Last year the officials in Mugla were more interested in our academic qualifications and barely looked at either bank statements or pension letters.

Turkish bank
I read up beforehand and Denizbank were giving a good rate of interest and when we got here, a friend of ours also recommended them, the guy there sorted us out no problem as he knew we were moving here

Re: Residency question please

Tracy,if applying at the Bodrum GOC office ,Murat [ manager ] told me last week that they will accept UK state pension letters without being apostilled or translated.
