Re: De-Humidifier

Best you first google the 2 types:
Refrigerant Dehumidifier:
Desiccant Dehumidifier:

Desiccant will work better at colder temps so useful during the damp winter months.

Re: De-Humidifier

Your welcome Amar.

This is the one I use in the UK and find it works fine, if turned to high it will suck the water out of wet clothes overnight leaving them dry in the morning, although rarely used for that.
I normally have it set midway for general usage.

The one I have linked to is 390-640 W per hour. I am not too clever with elec conversions so maybe someone can check my fiqures.

Based on elec rate of 11p per kWH it would be approx
4p an hour at the low setting and 7p an hour at the highest setting. That would be with continuous running.

I have mine set at a mid setting and on a `plug` timer so it is on during the day, it wont run continuously and only comes on when the humidity level reaches the point I have set it to.

Re: De-Humidifier

We use one at home in a spare bedroom we use for drying washing when outside isn't an option, It works extremely well and can be configured to automatically drain.
It only uses 180w when operating and as an example our washing machine is a 10 kg 1400 spin model, I did a full load yesterday morning it was on the maiden by 10 am and by 6 pm all but one bath sheet was perfectly dry, so its a very effective machine, I must add the room is pretty warm without any heating on.

I actually paid £89.99 when it was on offer.

Re: De-Humidifier

I have one in the UK .I don't need it and if I could be bothered I would take it down our local tip . If in the Kent area you can have it to take to Turkey if you are stuck .
It also doubles as a heater.
