I live in Torba and get Eastenders via Prime and since we had our big dish installed and get Sky and a selection of Arab stations I now get Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Ok they are a little bit behind the UK but it makes no difference really when watching them ie we have just had Vera Duckworths death and funeral which is not so very behind. I thought it was handled very well. I too get fed up with some of the story lines in Eastenders.

It was ashame the tv magazine's spoilt Vera's death by announcing it the week before but it was still sad when she died.

I agree it was handled very well. I do cry at absolutely anything though. Always did and just got worse after having children. Sympathy - I have so moved on to Empathy. Standing family joke to watch mum when anything emotional on! I can take it.

I have been trying to decide whether i prefer Corrie or Enders but cant seem to make a decision!!! I watch both avidly!! But is it a habit rather then choice? Must say I was relieved to know they are shown over there!! Cant imagine what a spell in re-hab and counselling sessions would cost!! Yes another saddo I'm afraid!!!! LOL!!!!

I don't make a point of watching soaps. If I happen to be sat down I enjoy Corrie or Emmerdale though. Eastenders is awful, and should be avoided by anybody who is prone to depression.
