For example can one purchase a radio that covers the world network ether in turkey or in england that will work in turkey. If so will a dish or arial be required.
Is it posible to down load by internet and if so is there a charge?

Re: english radio reception
The following will allow you unlimited access to BBC Radio if you have ADSL: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/
Also, this next one gives you everything else:
http://www.radiostations.co.uk/
You can access almost every radio station in USA by searching for sites that list all the stations.
I had an electrician wire the house from my computer so I can listen to Radio 4 news in the morning and Drive on 5 Live in the evening. Comedy and plays available on demand - fantastic.

I listen to BBC radio 2, either live on line or if I want to listen to a certain programme that is broadcast at an inconvenient time for me I will "listen again".

Re: english radio reception
Apart from via the Internet, if you can get Sky satellite (big dish in Turkey) you can get all the BBC TV AND radio channels using your Skybox. Plug it into your hi-fi if you like..
Other than that, someone makes satellite radios but its subscription only and prpbably a waste of time anyway. If you've got ADSL, its the best option for BBC radio.
