Fibre Glass Or Aluminium Dishes
since i have been doing this job here in fethiye there are two common makes one is fibre glass and the other is aluminium, the glass fibre dish is about half the price of the aluminium one and the heat in the summer time causes the surface to blister therefore the surface lifts and the reflective surface is distorted and then in the winter time the blisters fill with water and the weight of the water lifts more of the reflective surface, an ongoing situation and the signal gets weaker as the surface is now distorted
the aluminium is a commercial quality dish being solid and spun therefore this has not got the same problems with the cheaper dishes hence will out live the fibre glass several times over
in otherwords you get what you pay for
i could go further into it but you might find it boring

No, you go on mate.
It certainly beats "And now for something extra" on BBC Prime.
By the way, have you met Bobthenob ?
