Popstar Alaturka
For those who watch Turkish TV how do you feel about Popstar Alaturka?
I personaly enjoy it as im a big fan of TSM Music. I love the jury they are so humorus especialy Bulent Ersoy and gosh when she sings its just amazing. I can't wait for the new series as i miss it already. My only problem with the show is its much to long NEARLY 4 HOURS!!!

Sorry Deniz I'm not a fan of Popstar Alaturka; as you say it drags on for hours and there's too much talking going on. Plus why call it "Popstar" when the music doesn't resemble pop in any way and none of the contestants could ever be a popstar.
Bulent Ersoy is too OTT for me although yes she/he can be funny at times.
A new music competition started on Show TV on Tuesday night called Sarki Soylemek Lazim so that might curb your crave for Alaturka until it comes back on again.
My fave competition on turkish tv has to be varmisin yokmusun.

ive watched it a few times..if only to be amazed at how Bulent Ersoy now looks..she has a good voice..but she has done dreadful things to herself with aesthetic surgery..as bad as Michael Jackson
Alison ..i like varmısın yokmusun too..i havent seen the english version so i often wonder if its as emotional!!

Shirleyann, no I dont think the UK version is as emotional; Germaine will be able to tell us that. Also I think that version only lasts an hour whereas here in Turkey it's 3hrs! I like the host Acun Ilica, he's bit of alright 
And I agree with you about Bulent Ersoy; that face is starting to look scarey. Have you ever seen anyone with a bigger mouth?? |

aww poor Bulent lol she didn't always look like that. Do you guys remember that old show çarkıfelek it was one of my favs turkish TV shows and şahane pazar shame these shows aren't on now.

oh that şahane pazar..i hated it...every week the same thing with piling the glasses up...thank god for digiturk
Çarkıfelık was ok..i liked Mehmet Ali Bey..and the way some of the contestants really begged him to help them..and they were serious..!!..hasnt he got a similar show now?
Deniz ..i thought you said you were 19...how can you remember these shows..theyre donkeys years ago..?

There not so old i watched them in 2001 last i think i loved them maybe i wouldn't be so keen on them now im older. The other show that was good arround that time was Sibel Can show i think with Huysuz Virjin it was so funny.
