Please can anybody give an insight of availbilty and costs of Tv packages satlitte and broadband in sartur/Altikum area. A friend told us we would have to bring out a top box from UK to get english telly surely this sounds a bit odd.

We have satelite tv here in Davutlar. It involves 2 dishes and a one off payment of 340TL (£144) we get sky news, BBC prime a lot of film channels and it seems 6 million eurosport channels (cos everytime i look at the tele it has eurosport in the corner ) may be something to do with hubby and a remote control.

Theres a number of companies in Europe offering internet by satellite however I have yet to hear from anyone who is happy with the quality of service.

If the vendor is hooked up by either Hotbird or Hispasat, the footprint is more than sufficient in Western Turkey.
