Does anyone know if a DVD player from over here works in Turkey as we want to take one out in April in fact in 4 weeks and 5 days time

I'm sure they do but hubby said to ask you lot [] don't think he trusts me

My marra Colin took one out and he says it works there - I think you're advised to change to the Turkish plugs though.
Mind you, I can't work mine here so what chance do I stand?

You have no probs with DVD players in Turkey..

DVD works here fine sister bought one over. I got mine here paid 60YTL works smashing.[]

Gail we bought one last year in Fethyie think it cost about £30. Save yourself the hassle of carrying it lol

Prices are getting better in Turkey - buy the DVD when you come over - it will also have the benefit of getting sorted if things go wrong and no hassle of having to carry it. We got a small stereo unit from Migros for the house at a similar price you would expect to pay in the UK. Buying locally also helps Turkey.
