Netflix UK or Turkey?

As I steam forward into the 21st century, my TV now connected to my Windows 10 laptop via an HDMI cable, I was also thinking about signing up to Netflix.

Netflix Turkey seems to be 17.99 TL per month but if I switch on my VPN I get to Netflix UK which is 5.99 GBP per month so more expensive.

Can I see the same things on each option or would I only get Turkish films and shows on the Netflix Turkey option?

Re: Netflix UK or Turkey?

UK & Turkey content differ. A couple of quick examples: Friends is available in the UK but not Turkey; The film about Naim Süleymanoğlu (weightlifter) is available in Turkey but not the UK. However, most of the content in Turkey is in English. A quick search shows that Afterlife is available here.

Like most other broadcasters, Netflix has technology to detect & block VPNs. You may have to try connecting multiple times or fiddle with settings (eg obfuscated servers).

Re: Netflix UK or Turkey?

Thank you, I'll take the Turkish version and see - for the moment there are only a few things that I want to see that I can't watch on Flixtor. I don't watch a lot of TV but I may do if we are locked down again.

Re: Netflix UK or Turkey?

I tried Turkey version. The content was much less than the US or UK. Sometimes there was hardly anything worth watching. It certainly (at that time) was not the same.

Re: Netflix UK or Turkey?

According to the latest stats, the Turkish version has 35% less movies than the UK one, and 30% less TV shows. Worth remembering that as many will be in Turkish, the true difference will be greater.
Also worth bearing in mind the USA version has double the content ofwhat the UK one has.
