Work Permit

You can find out about applying for a work permit here at the website of the Ministry for Labour and Social Security.

This is in English and you can download application forms and read about fees, social security payments etc.

You can also apply from abroad which may be handy if you're thinking of moving to Turkey in the future.

Re: Work Permit

You can also apply from abroad which may be handy if you're thinking of moving to Turkey in the future.

the conditions are that you must have been living in Turkey for 8 years without interruption before you will be considered for a work permit.

but as usual a very good link link Craig.thanks

Re: Work Permit

what category of work permit are you refering to Shirley?
Thats a very long time, and it obviously doesnt include the short term permits that are given to Tour operator reps etc.

But Found this article yesterday- peculiar really - !
(ECO) LABOR & SOCIAL SECURITY MINISTRY ISSUES 10,705 WORK PERMITS TO FOREIGNERS - Turk.Net
They must have been stung into releasing this information!

And someone else in Ankara digs deep
SUNDAY'S ZAMAN

And no truer words said - earlier this month!
[STARTING UP IN TURKEY] Foreigners in Turkey unsatisfied with work permit procedures
