Hi All,

I have just launched a new website in memory of my late father who died of cancer in 2003. He was a bit of a poet and I promised him that I would do something useful with all his poetry.
Well after 4 years I've finally done something!! LOL A little late but they do say "better late than never"

The website is titled Poetry 4 Charity and address is www.mypoetry4u.co.uk

Unfortunately I have had no donations yet, but it's early days. This will hopefully change in the near future. I've already managed to get our local Sheffield Newspaper to do a FREE article about my Father and his poetry. that will hopefully be published in the near future and should help to promote the site.
I've also in the process of negotiating funding for my fund raising website from other sources.

I would really like your views on this idea???

We are also doing this for our Dad. His dying wish was to see some of his poetry published to raise money for the Rotherham Hospice. We scattered his ashes last Sunday at Stanich Edge, Derbyshire and read some of his poems before we scattered them. If we only manage to make a small booklet to sell to Family and friends he would be delighted.

I think there must be something about these sheffield lads that makes them great poets. My Dads from Darnall.

Anyway good luck with your venture, i think its a lovely idea.
