Yes the Turks shoot them even though they are a protected species under the Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats, a convention which aims to conserve wild fauna and flora and their natural habitats, which Turkey signed up to in 1982 and entered into force in 1984.

Perhaps one day through education the beauty of the environment here will sink in before it is too late.
