A few weeks back I saw a bird that Ive not seen before ,I just caught a quick glimpes and all I saw was red under the tail .Today I saw it again so tried to I.D it and all Ive come up with is the red vented bulbul. All I can describe it as is greyish with the red as Ive said .
Does anyone else have any suggestion as to what species it could be?

(if it is grey) female finch (Fringillidae) fits the description but i am not sure
in Turkish - kırmızı kuyruklu şakrak kuşu

Re: Red vented bulbul?

I only usually see sparrows, crows and magpies,so I love it when I see something different.Ohh and the owls
A funny thing ,I mentioned to my husband that I saw a different bird yesterday and the first thing he said was bulbul. To be honest Ive never heard of it ,its the only thing I could find when I was searching the net .

Re: Red vented bulbul?

The only bulbul species that occur in Turkey are the White spectacled and the white eared.
