WOW - our own forum

WOW - our own Forum. Thanks! Does anyone know what is happening about the two large sites being built on in the centre? Work seems to have stopped and was curious! Thanks

Hiya you 2!!

Do you mean the shopping centre to the left of village street facing the sea? We heard work had been stopped as it is too close to the sea - but so are the other completed centres so that makes no sense LOL

Hi, yes I did mean that one. Makes no sense to me at all. Why would they have given them permission in the first place. the plans must have shown where the site was going to be! Does this mean we're going to have to put up with an eyesore this summer? Hope you're all doing okay. x

How nice to have our own bit now instead of being just part of Bodrum.

Yes Yalicat. It would be nice to see just how many Yali people are on this forum.
Maybe Mag and I will see you in one of the watering holes in Yali early April. We go April 8 to April 15 .

This may seem like a dumb question but...When we were in Yali last year to select our property,I didnt see any waste bins?? Do yali residents have bins and refuse collection?
They must be well hidden if they do. Pete

There are grey rubbish bins along the streets, more like the commercial rubbish bins of the UK than domestic ones, and these are emptied usually daily, sometimes more. So it should be a short walk from your house to the nearest one. We tie up the plastic bag of rubbish and put it in the street bin just 30 feet away from our gate.

Hi Pete and Mag. Hope you are well.
There will normally be big silver/grey or sometimes blue rubbish containers, either on your complex or just outside your site gates.
Sometimes sites put a mesh sort of hut over them and you enter by a gate.
This is to stop the cats and dogs dragging everything out of them.
