Well its happened again - i phoned Aegean Flights this morning to confirm
our return flight from Birmingham to Bodrum on 8th April ( Booked last August !!! )
Only to be told that the flight is CANCELLED !!
What the hell is happening i DO NOT know because on their web site they are still selling that flight - i got right through to the credit card detail bit tonight !
Why didnt they inform us ?? If i had not phoned today we would have just turned up at the airport on 8 th !!
What a shambles this company is - also bear in mind that they have had the money in their bank account - since August !!
Nice little profit for them
Any one else booked on that flight ?
So the alternative is Manchester - or a refund
Have checked BA and we can get a flight from Heathrow to Istanbul for
£75 - and a connection to Bodrum for 99 ytl
i suppose that is a fair price - inc meals and extra baggage and comfort
So we may do that

.......and we've just had a letter today cancelling our flight on 12 April from Birmingham to Dalaman. Alternatives are a refund, or flights from either Gatwick or Manchester on 11 April. All Birmingham flights are cancelled up to and including 26 April. They have offered £10 compensation per passenger....

Knew I shouldn't have booked the bloody airport car park yesterday!

i would tell them you want them to pay for it if you cannot get your money back if you paid by credit card you may well be able to stop the payment good luck

I bought flights with this company last year for June and September, they were £70 return per ticket. I wonder if they are saying the flights are cancelled then selling them again at a higher price? The same flights are now £200 so watch this space!

Hi Caroline = we booked this flight last August so cant get refund on credit card

I think complain to the advertising standards authority, it probably comes under their remit.

Just this second come off the phone from aegaen flights and been advised that our tickets from Birmingham to Bodrum 01/04/08 - 15/04/08 were posted yesterday so this flight still seems ok

It doesn't bode well for those of you who booked for winter 2008 through to spring 2009 in the last few days.
I think I will be happy to use them through their summer schedule but be wary of them through Nov -April, although Manchester departures seem to keep their intended flights (for now !)

Sorry to hear the news for those of you affected though.

Just tried to book 8th april birmingham to bodrum as a trial came up £104 who is kiding who.
