Thanks folks - it was so very sad tonight as his mate " Blackie " was just wandering around and smelling everywhere - trying to get into our car where he had died
I DO NOT think it is the Beledye - the are some horrible old men who sit in the tea shop opposite our restaurant who HATE dogs One of them walks round the village with a BIG stick trying to hit them - i have my suspicions that it could be him but cannot prove this

What kind of world do we live in! How is it possible to knowingly put a living creature through agony. İ can't say how İ feel about the person that did this in case İ get arrested. So very sorry. At least Squeaker is in a better place where no-one can ever harm him again. At peace and away from the evil monsters that roam this earth. At least he knew what love and kindness was, because of you Sue. Thinking of you.

The officials need to make resolving these types of problems a priority. Make the fines HUGH, with jail time to second offenders. Not 24 hours either, minimum 30 days. Back home we have a program to assist police in getting their man that involves the locals. It's called "Crime Stoppers". If you are aware of someone that has commited any crime you can call a number to report it. You don't need to leave your name. Many crimes that Crime Stoppers are trying to solve also have a reward, so if you assist tem in finding the guilty party and they are punished you can collect some cash. I bet this systemm would work wonders in Turkey. Last year there were a couple dogs poisened by our pharmacy. The killer bought the can of dog food next door at the pet shop, and then left it on the doorstep of the petshop later that night, after they had poisened two dogs, one died in the arms of a girl that loved the dog. Frontier justice works best in a situation like this I believe. Had I found the killer he would have had a hard time doing the crime a second time

There are some nasty cowardly people about, eh. So sad.

We have our dogs here with us. We never let them out of the garden unattended. I really hope our neighbours are decent people who know how much our dogs mean to us and that we don't allow them to be pests.

It would be a good punishment that the poisoner poisons himself. But we couldn't be that lucky, eh.
