We visited Yali last week and had a very acceptable lunch at Dede. Would also recommend it.

We also had a few good nights with our friends (who are still there) at Dedes and Taskule. The lads there are a real tonic too especially Alex, who we have known now for a few years and Byran who has always a smile.

Dede Restaurant & Tameros

Well what a coincidence. I was in both those restaurants when I was in Yalikavak a few weeks ago. Both fabulous. Wonderful sunset at the Dede and you can sit on the beach and have dinner - had a lovely Adana Kebab..

Tameros is at the other end of the pedestrian precinct, near the taxi rank - and they do a great Lemon Chicken.

So many restaurants, and not enough time to try them all but these were two we went back to.

Dede restaurant is great and the staff are wonderful - beautiful place to sit and watch the sun go down.

If you didn't have time to get around the many wonderful restaurants, don't worry - there's always next time!!

Glad to see my restaurant reviews met with a favourable response! I am going back out again at the end of August and will try a few more and let you know. I have to say, i only enjoy restaurants that have no interest in selling you a "Villa and Chips" Why would i want to buy a house from a restauranteur?? - would never consider it at home. (sorry for the rant, but it is one of my pet hates) Restauranteurs - stick to what you know best - Cooking delicious food!

Re: Dede Restaurant And Tameros

We went to Dede's on our last night and had a fabulous meal (lamb amphora) - it was lovely and served very dramatically. Thought we might have to get the fire extinguishers out at one point! We actually went there a few times - cocktails watching the sunset, also went there the night Turkey got knocked out of Euro 2008 (they all took it very philosophically by the way - I know that if it had been England it would have been very different!). The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us - on the night of the football they re-arranged the whole restaurant so that everyone had a good view of the telly! The prices were also good in comparison to some of the other places along the front we visited.

Didn't get to Tameros but we did go to the Anchor Bar in one of the lanes and the staff who couldn't do enough for you, supplying melon and other fruit to the table every so often (free of charge!). Really nice touch. Again, the prices for drinks were very reasonable I thought.

Re: Dede Restaurant And Tameros

Feel sorry for the couple who run Tameros. My wife and I had a couple of meals there during our stay last month. Verdict, very disapointed!

Lovely couple but no idea how to run a restaurant. Menu is far too large and half of it is not available most of the time anyway, which is a great shame because they have some great dishes advertised.

If they were ever fully booked, they would not be able to cope. Kitchen is way, way too small. (She was smoking as well whilst cooking meals! Ugh!)

However, we would call in for a drink on the way back to our villa most nights just because we liked them and felt for them.

Hope they get through the season.
