Re: going to yasmin

Well were back from Yasmin and its looking really nice. The big pools are near finished and I believe they will be filled in May. The builders are on with the turkish baths and internet cafe, and the grounds are being landscaped with plants and big rocks, we just need the grass to grow quickly and hopefully with out weeds and patches.

We had the TV satalite installed and its quite good, we can get lots of stations except my Corrie on ITV, but nevermind you never know what the future holds it might happen then! You can get older versions of ITV programms but how to know whats on what channel is a press it and see - or at least we have not found a TV guide yet. Its good also as if you find a film and its in Turkish you can change it to english.

Another good thing the builders are trying to arrange is a personal internet connection for a one off price of £50 (very reasonable) so very handy for those with wireless computers.

The weather was not that good when we where there but we had a good time anyway and we even got to Ikea, we sampled the fish restaurant and met some really nice people from Orkide and Yakamoz - Hello to all who we met and hope to see you again soon.

Hi Missmo, note that you miss ITV and corrie, if you have an always on broadband connection, you could utilise Slingbox, about £180, you plug it into a friends system in the UK, they then feed you the whole feed of programmes available to them. They can watch one programme, you another, totally independently.
May be worth a look.

Regards, Steve.

Re: going to yasmin

Hi,

Does anyone have directions to Yasmin Gardens?

I have detailed directions to Akbuk from Bodrum airport (see below) but I once in Akbuk I don't know where to go! Any help will be much appreciated!

From Bodrum Milas Airport turn left onto road 330.
After 13km, at Milas, turn left onto the 525 which should be signed Soke. After 53 km, with the impressive Lake Bafa on your right, turn off left when you see the small sign towards Akbuk.

Follow the road for some 11km following signs to Akbuk, going past the big hotels and then a couple of kilometers later, you see the Yalcin supermarket...

Re: going to yasmin

Hi the directions that you have are fine, just keep following the Akbuk signs, you will pass on the left hand side a large Tanses shop, keep going you are not far from Yasmin you will see the signs for Olive Gardens first and then the signs which are also on the right for the Yasmin plots, but if you miss the signs look out for the Derby Hotel which is on your right your cant miss that and you will see yasmin build on the left, you just need to turn up the road opposit the Derby Hotel.

I see you have bought on Summer Breeze Yasmin is on the same road only nearer to the centre of Akbuk you wont miss it from Summer Breeze

Good luck - Need any more info just ask MO

Re: going to yasmin

Wow that was a fast response!! thanks for the info - big help! hope to be out there next month!

Just to clarify, are the directions you gave the same for summer breeze...

just keep following the Akbuk signs, you will pass on the left hand side a large Tanses shop, keep going you are not far from Summer Breeze (SB) you will see the signs for Olive Gardens first and then the signs which are also on the right for the Yasmin plots...

Is the summer breeze just after this? Is there a landmark to look out for to indicate if i've gone too far?

many thanks for the help!

Re: going to yasmin

Summer Breeze is first you come to but not sure if it is before the tanses or after, It is before Olive Gardens and I know Olive Gardens is after the Tanses, All three sites are advertised on the main road so you should not miss them. Summer Breeze is directly off the road and all the villas etc form a sort of horseshoe shape.

Good Luck Mo
